Kenyans who hate moral decadence and who wish to see a morally upright society are traumatised by rising cases of bestiality in the country. Some of these cases were unheard of in the African traditional setting and it was an abomination to even imagine such a thing. However, these unspeakable and despicable deeds are with us and we all bow our heads in shame whenever we read or hear about them. The issue has been complicated because ours is a ‘shame culture’ and no one is comfortable discussing such abominable practices since it may be construed to mean that one is celebrating filth or is part of the filth!
