Margaret Thatcher Condolence Book opened

Nairobi, Kenya: Members of the Public in Nairobi can now sign and send official condolence messages to the people of Britain at the British High Commission in Nairobi.

A brief communication sent by the Head of Communication John Bradshaw said “following the death of former British Prime Minister Lady Thatcher, the British High Commission has opened a Book of Condolence. “

Members of the Kenyan public wishing to sign the book are invited to do so at the British High Commission on Upper Hill Road between the hours of 07.30am and 3.00pm.

The former British Prime Minister Baroness Thatcher died at the age of 87 after suffering a stroke on Monday.

Mrs Thatcher was in power from 1979 to 1990, was popularly known  as the "Iron Lady" and has been described by BBC as a hugely influential figure on the international stage.

Among top Kenyans who sent their condolence messages to the Thatcher family and Britain are former President Daniel arap Moi and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
