In Pictures: Riots at Moi University over rape, murder of student

Protests at Moi University over rape, murder of female student turned chaotic, as police who had been deployed to handle the situation were chased away.

The police van was set on fire, roads barricaded and activity brought to a standstill at the institution located about 40km from Eldoret town.

The body of the third year student was recovered at the university's bus stage and it is alleged that she was gang raped before being brutally murdered.
