Monaco ‘want Chelsea’s Fernando Torres or Demba Ba’ in Radamel Falcao deal

EPL: Chelsea may be forced to part with either Fernando Torres or Demba Ba if they are to secure a deal for Radamel Falcao, according to reports in France.

Falcao only joined Monaco in the summer, but rumours suggest he is not completely happy at his new club and could be prised away by one of Europe’s elite.

Chelsea were believed to be keen on bringing Falcao to the Premier League over the summer, but were beaten to the punch by Monaco’s £52m bid.

But with the Blues still on the hunt for a world class striker, especially with stop-gap signing Samuel Eto’o only on a one-year deal until the end of the season, they could move for Falcao again.

And according to French magazine Le10Sport, Monaco wouldn’t rule out selling the Colombian international, but would demand an £80m flat fee.

The other alternative, according to the publication, would be for Monaco to receive Torres or Ba from Chelsea in part-exchange.

But with a deal of that nature still leaving the Blues short of a striker, as well as the fact Monaco would still demand a hefty fee, it’s not a proposition which is likely to tempt Jose Mourinho at this stage.
