The government wants people to stay away from political meetings convened by aspirants not in their favour.
Meru County Commissioner Wilfred Nyangwanga (above) said no one has a right to disrupt meetings convened by those opposed to them.
“If you attend such a meeting and you engage in rowdy behaviour, you will be arrested and prosecuted because you could have peacefully stayed away,” he said. Speaking during Mashujaa Day celebrations in Meru,
Nyangwanga urged residents to respect the right of every aspirant to sell their policies to voters. -
