Harambee Stars’ Captain and Southampton FC midfielder, Victor Wanyama has imported a state-of-the-art German machine.
The customised Volkswagen Crafter CR53 Maxi rumoured to be worth Sh30 million (£200,000) just landed in the country and is expected to be handled by his brother Thomas Wanyama, popularly known as Heskey.
The van now known as ‘Rosie’ was customised by a Ghanaian soldier and the man behind the interior is known as @h8dko (from his Instagram page).
The van has a fridge, coffeemaker, 3D TV screens for sports channels paid for on a monthly basis, interior and exterior CCTV cameras, play station and 10-seater rotating chairs.
“I have not received her yet, but Rosie is already in the country somewhere along Mombasa Road,”Heskey told Heads Up.
Part of our Heads Up team already enjoyed a ride while it was still with Victor in Winchester.
‘Rosie’ will now join other ‘machines’ in Wanyama’s compound courtesy of elder brother and fellow footballer, MacDonald Mariga.
They include a Cadillac Escalade Platinum 2011, a Lexus V8, a Jaguar and a Hummer H3.
Wanyama seems to be one of the most generous and sufficiently philanthropic footballers around.
In January, he forked out millions of shillings on an exclusive treat for his immediate family. In February, Wanyama donated playing kits from Adidas AG in Herzogenaurach-Bavaria, Germany for AFC Leopards.
The family got an opportunity to watch several English Premier League games, shopping trips in London and a visit to a couple of historical sites in England.
