Body of man found dumped by the roadside

Nyeri residents woke up to a rude shock to find a body of a middle-aged man dumped by the roadside. Godfrey Thiong’o, a resident, noted that the man might have been killed elsewhere and his body dumped there, saying he had just passed by the footpath 30 minutes earlier.

A horrified schoolboy found the body, which had no physical injuries, even though blood was oozing from the mouth. Confirming the incident, officers from Nyeri Police Station said they would launch investigation into the mysterious death. The body was moved to Nyeri Referral Hospital mortuary.
