I received death threats before tabling forensic report before Judiciary, PAC Chair Gumbo says

The chairman of Public Accounts Committee Nicholas Gumbo (Rarieda MP) has said that he got a threatening text message shortly before tabling a forensic audit report to do with the Judiciary.

The MP says the short text message read, "We want either your head or one of your kids."

The message came in shortly before three o'clock Tuesday afternoon just as the National Assembly began its sittings.

The audit into the Judiciary looked at issues of procurement.

The threat on the PAC chairman comes within weeks after the committee learned that the Auditor General and his staff had also been threatened over the exposure of the malfeasance in the spending of the confidential vote.
