Chicharito to return to Manchester United

Javier Hernandez does not have a future at Manchester United after Real Madrid sent him back to Old Trafford.

Real decided against turning Hernandez's season-long loan move into a permanent deal and the Mexico striker has returned to Old Trafford.

Hernandez, 26, who scored nine goals in 33 appearances for Real, is not part of Louis van Gaal's first-team plans and will be told to find a new club for the remaining 12 months of his United deal.

After joining Real last summer, Hernandez claimed United didn't have enough faith in him.

"There was no confidence. I remained patient and that’s why I’m here today," he said.

"It was a very tough year especially because they didn’t believe in me."

Manchester United are eyeing a swoop for Bayern Munich defender Dante, according to reports.

Italian media outlet Tuttomercatoweb claims Louis van Gaal is keen on taking the Brazilian defender to Old Trafford.

United are interested in Mats Hummels and Nicolas Otamendi, but Dante, at the age of 31, would be a much cheaper option.
