Wycliffe Oparanya calls for quick probe into Fidel Odinga’s death

Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya has expressed shock at the death of Fidel Castro Odinga and called for speedy investigations.

Monday, the governor appealed to the police to dispel any lingering mystery surrounding the death by carrying out an expeditious probe.

Oparanya, who is also the deputy leader of the Orange Democratic Movement, described Fidel as a humble young man with a promising future.

"On my own behalf, my family and the Kakamega County people, I would like to take this opportunity to condole with Raila family for this tragic and sudden loss of their eldest son. It is my prayer that the family finds solace in the grace of God," he said.

The governor also sent his condolences to families of those who lost their lives in Huruma, Nairobi after a seven-storey building collapsed on Sunday night.
