Last week, I tuned into K24, after a busy hectic day, which comprised of lectures and assignments, to catch the latest Kenyan reality show “Nairobi Diaries” which had returned for its second season. I had religiously watched the first season which featured well known socialite Vera Sidika, famous for her “skin toning” and “assets”. Both of the seasons so far showcase scripted drama, unnecessary catfights, vulgar language and borrowed accents from the West which could be compared to Hurricane Katrina when paired with their distinct Kenyan accents.
