Senator Cheruiyot demands transfer of police in Sondu

Senate Majority Leader and Kericho Senator Aaron Cheruiyot has appealed to the Inspector General of Police Japheth Koome and Interior Cabinet Secretary Kuthure Kindiki to immediately, transfer all officers in Sondu for failing to stop clashes along the volatile Kericho- Kisumu border.

Cheruiyot accused the officers of being complicit for failing to act on intelligence on retaliatory attacks that have led to killings of seven people and destruction of property.
