Nelly Cheboi : I want to see Kenyans working remotely for multinational companies - Globe Traktion

15th February, 2023

Nelly Cheboi is the founder of TechLit Africa, an organization that teaches digital skills in rural primary schools. In 2022 she was the winner of the 2022 CNN Hero award and was named as one of the 30 under 30 on the Forbes list for social impact. Cheboi, who grew up in the rural village of Mogotio in Kenya, landed a full scholarship to study computer science at Augustana College in Illinois and later built a school in Kenya, Zawadi, where she started TechLit Africa. TechLit Africa redistributes recycled technology to build computer labs in schools. The organization has built ten computer labs in rural Kenya and is currently working on the next 100 computer labs.
