Governor Mandago slams Health CS Mutahi Kagwe over NHIF failure to cover Covid-19

Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago has warned residents against ignoring Covid-19 guidelines. Mandago said his administration will introduce stringent measures as this is the only way to stop the spread of Covid-19 in the region, where several people have died from the disease in the last one month. Mandago slammed health cabinet secretary Mutahi Kagwe for his sentiment that Kenyans battling Covid-19 and are enrolled with NHIF will have to shoulder the burden of treatment as the national insurer will not cater for their treatment.
