World Refugee Day: Kenya hosts more than 200,000 refugees

As the world celebrates international refugee day the UNHCR 2019 report indicates the global burden of refugees stands at 79.5 million people representing 1% of the world population. Kenya alone hosts about 200,000 refugees in major camps of Kakuma, Kalobeyei, and Dadaab. Through community initiatives program launched by the peace wind, Janan in Kakuma, Kalobeyei, and Dadaab camps the affected families have benefited from food donations, constructing a shelter, and toilets. The project manager Emmanuel Luyali calling on other partners to join the efforts of supporting refugees during this pandemic.
