Meru polytechnic closed indefinitely due insecurity

The Meru National Polytechnic has been closed indefinitely. The closure of the institution was followed by a day of running battles between police and students who held demonstrations over the murder of one of their own. Traders and business owners also found themselves on the receiving end during the fiasco.
