Senators to hold a special sitting to save embattled Kiambu governor Ferdinand Waititu

The senate leadership has now settled on January 21st this year as a date when they will hold a special sitting to deliberate on the impeachment of embattled Kiambu governor Ferdinard Waititu. According to majority leader in the senate Kipchumba Murkome, he has already notified the speaker of the senate Kenneth Lusaka and soon the date will be gazetted after acquiring the requisite signatures of 15 senators. The senators will also deliberate on whether Waititu was given a fair hearing by the county MCA’s and whether the impeachment process was above board.
