Insect experts in the country are advising farmers that the use of pesticides is the best approach to curb an invasion of locusts reported in some areas. Experts across the East African region are on high alert after the highly destructive locusts wreaked havoc on farmlands and vegetation in Somalia towards its border with Kenya in the county Mandera.
