The anti FGM board has lauded president Uhuru Kenyatta for firmly supporting anti FGM campaigns. Speaking at Eselengei primary school in Narok county during an alternative rite of passage, board chair Agnes Pareiyo, noted that  security agencies have now become active with perpetrators of the vice having been arraigned in court. 
Pareiyo expressed concerns  that 21 counties are still practicing FGM with the vice rampant among pastoral communities
