The European Union has committed sh. 2.5 billion to fund the blue economy and agriculture projects under the Jumuiya  ya kaunti za Pwani initiative. the initiative forged between Mombasa kwale, kilifi, tana river, Lamu, and Taita Taveta counties aim to catalyze investment within the coastal region Speaking during the Jumuiya agribusiness and investment conference, Jumuiya block chairman and Kwale Governor Salim Mvurya said regional leaders are working on an implementation, a framework to ensure all projects  are implemented in a manner that uplifts the livelihoods of residents.
