Kenya’s big problem is not the lack of ‘an all inclusive government’, but the wilful disregard of election laws by political leaders; this is according to Governance Expert Javas Bigambo.
Bigambo insists that even if we [Kenya] were to expand our executive- as BBI report proposes the introduction of prime minister position- and create “an all inclusive government, still political noise after elections will not end.” He says that Kenya’s problem is the leadership that has blatantly refused to follow rules of democracy as well as the rule of law.
Bigambo says that as a country, we must strive to have free, fair, verifiable and just elections, and then we will have dealt with post-election violence/unrest menace.
