Oguna calls for rehabilitation of major highways in West Pokot after deadly landslides

Business people at Sebit and Ortum are calling for the urgent reconstruction of the Kitale Kapenguri Lodwar highway following the recent floods in the area. The traders say the entire infrustructure in the region has been destroyed. They now want the Kenya national highway authority KENHA to take urgent measures to avert a transport crisis. the heavy rains which pounded West Pokot county in the last one week claimed lives, destroyed roads and property worth millions of shillings.
