Pope Francis attended a lunch on Sunday (November 17) with around 1,500 poor people and a group of volunteers following a Mass for the World Day of the Poor in St. Peter's Basilica.
The pontiff thanked all the people who prepared the lunch asking God to bless all the people in the room and their families.
Francis established the Roman Catholic Church's annual World Day of the Poor in 2017 to draw the attention of the world's 1.2 billion Catholics to the neediest.
