Over 600 staff at Mumias sugar face an uncertain future after their contarcts were terminated even as the new administration sought to clean up the bankrupt miller which has been sinking deeper into debt. this latest twist comes as the sugar company was placed under receivership by Kenya commercial bank for failling to honour it's financial obligations. The Kenya plantation workers union has vowed to challenge this move citing it was against the conditions agreed with the reciver manager P.V.R Rao.
