Chief Justice David Maraga this morning oversaw the swearing in of Macharia Njeru and Justice David Majanja as commissioners of the judicial service commission. Justice Majanja was elected unanimously by Kenya magistrates and judges association. He will be representing the interest of judges at the commission. Lawyer Macharia Njeru was elected to represent the interests of lawyers in a hotly contested election last week where he trounced his closest rival and long-serving Commissioner Tom Ojienda. Stella Munyi was also sworn in to serve in the tribunal investigating the conduct of Justice Jackton Ojwang.
