Mudavadi slams MPs, stop acting like a trade union just to get additional perks

7th May, 2019

Amani National Congress (ANC) Party Leader Musalia Mudavadi has slammed Members of Parliament over what he terms as “acting like a trade union which only advocates for their additional perks.”

According to Mudavadi, the MPs should be at the forefront fighting for the rights of workers [Kenyans], and not to be led by greed of increasing their salaries. Mudavadi says that workers had nothing to smile about during this year’s Labour Day celebrations.

The NASA co-principal also insists that Parliament should move away from what he calls ‘state capture’ and play its vital oversight role. He rues that in the recent past Parliament has deteriorated to become subservient in their role.
