Why Kenya Airways continue to make losses even after several bailouts

National carrier Kenya Airways has reported a 7.5 billion shilling net loss in its trading results for the period ending December 2018. The airline which has been actively trying to contain its costs is betting big on turning around its fortunes if the proposal to merge with Kenya Airports Authority bears fruit.
