Uchumi supermarkets plans to hold a meeting with creditors on May 13th 2019 in a bid to endorse a Company Voluntary Arrangement meant to return the retailer back to profitability.

The creditors’ plan, which was filed at the High Court in March lays out actions Uchumi will take towards reducing its debt, restock branches, rebrand and return to full operations.
