Critical services at the Bungoma County Referral Hospital have crippled following a water shortage that has hit the facility. The worst hit departments are theatre and maternity wards; with patients lined up for surgery being referred to the Moi teaching and referral hospital, Eldoret. KTN News has also established that mothers giving birth at the facility are now forced to look for water from outside in order to wash and clean.
