Maize crops fail to grow due bad weather

Maize farmers in the north rift region are counting loses after most of the planted crops have failed to germinate due to bad weather. Majority of these farmers are forced to replant following delay of rains that has caused total crop failure. According to Peter Kutit, a large scale seed grower, out of 400 acres of seed maize he planted early this month 200 acres has been destroyed due to lack of rains.
