2nd April, 2019
Today marks fours years since the Garissa university terror attack in 2nd April 2015.
The attack left 148 people dead and several maimed.
Gun-wielding attackers stormed the campus precincts and shot at students indiscriminately killing many, holding some hostage.
Terror group Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility of the attack.
After the dreaded attack, the institution, a satellite campus of Moi University, was shut down indefinitely. It was later reopened in January 2016 with a small number going back while others being transferred to Moi University, Main Campus.
Since then many universities have put all round safety security measures to curb such incidents.
