Kenya Revenue Authority experiences leadership twists

4th March, 2019

John Njiraini is set to exit from the helm of the Kenya Revenue Authority even as his term in office draws to an end. This is expected to spark off a fierce search for the next commissioner general to sit at one of Kenya’s most coveted public offices. KRA board chairman Francis Muthaura in a statement says Njiraini continues to serve in his capacity as commissioner general at KRA until the end of June 2019 when his term will come to an end. Ambassador Muthaura adds that the board assures taxpayers and KRA stakeholders that the transition will be handled in accordance with the existing KRA human resource management policies, which are clear on succession planning. Njiraini's term spans two, three?year terms which came to end on March 3 last year, before being extended for an undisclosed period.
