Iranian Government denies conspiracy to free two Iranians convicted of terrorism

25th February, 2019

The Iranian Government has denied claims that it was behind a conspiracy to free and smuggle two Iranians convicted of terrorism out of the country. Iranian Ambassador Hadi Farajvand has admitted that the Embassy bought tickets for the two Iranians but says it was after people claiming to work for the Ministry of Interior advised the Embassy to prepare for the departure of the two since they were going to be released from prison.  The Envoy is blaming the saga on what he terms as invisible hands of some countries out to destroy relations between Kenya and Iran.
