Meru County farmers embraced a flying technology (drones) for to help detect pests and diseases

Small scale farmers are slowly embracing the use of technology in their farming practices. A small group of farmers in marimba, Githongo and Kibirichya areas of Meru County have embraced a flying technology called the third eye. The technology is a sensor mounted on a drone that now enables this farmers to detect pests and diseases 10 days before they can see the damage caused with their own eyes.
