The Tea Action is currently ongoing in Mombasa at the East Africa Tea Trade Association. The tea sold through the auction is predominantly CTC type of tea. However some tea exporters are able to supply orthodox or green tea on order. The auction takes place every week in Mombasa. This action is the beginning of the second half of the financial year of KTDA, who are tea producers. 16 counties across Kenya farm tea translating to about 600,000 farmers nation.
