Gospel artist Mercy Masika is well known as a music composer, songwriter and a performing artist. She released her first album when she was 12, her sophomore album followed in form one and later appointed choir director for Machakos Girls High School.  She draws her inspiration from the church and her family.

Family

Mercy is married to David Tim Muguro and they are blessed with two beautiful children with David doubling up as her manager. They have a daughter Ranise and a son, Tevita Mugo. Her inspiration for the names was the fact that they are both Hebrew names: Ranise – Queen, Tavita - Strong

Advice to single people

‘ I went to Katoloni prayer Mountain and asked God for exactly what I wanted and the next week I met him’.

She believes that for you to find the right person, you need to ask God for what you want and be very specific about it.  She emphasized on purpose and marrying the person who is passionate about the things you love.
