The strike is still on. This is the message to the national government, county governments and the nation at large from the Kenya Union of Nurses. In a press statement, the nurses who want their allowances catered for as per the second November 2018 return to work formula agreement are angered by the response they got from the salaries and remuneration commission yesterday. The union now wants the salaries and remuneration commission disbanded arguing that it's the cause of the stalemate between the county and national governments. Earlier on Friday, the commission stated that there were no funds to pay the nurses and that the allowances the nurses were awarded are outside the set parameters
