Nakuru county government to spend more resources on the Nakuru market upgrade

Even as Nakuru looks forward to embrace city status, the county government will have to pump in more resources to improve infrastructure. Traders at the Nakuru Wholesale market have cried foul over the delayed rehabilitation of the market despite the KSh20 million allocations by the county government in the 2018/2019 financial year budget. The allocation had been set aside for carpeting the market floors which remaining rough after it was excavated last year and the Machinery later removed from the site except a few which lie idle. The construction also entails the redesigning market to prevent runoff water from invading the traders ‘ware
