Supreme Court upholds Martin Nyagah Wambora's election as Embu Governor

The Supreme Court has upheld the election of Embu Governor Martin Wambora.

Supreme Court judge Justice Mohamed Warsame, in his Wednesday ruling, dismissed the application filed by former senator Lenny Kivuti challenging Wambora's victory, saying the latter was validly elected.

The judges upheld the Court of Appeal’s ruling, saying Kivuti’s petition lacked merit. This was after the Appellate Court overturned the High Court decision in August last year.
