It will be more expensive for Kenyans to import cars

24th January, 2019

Kenyans will have to dig deeper in their pockets to afford a car. This follows the expected implementation of the new importation rules. Trade cabinet secretary Peter Munya says the ministry will not allow requests for destination inspection. The CS also indicated that Kenyans will no longer be allowed to import vehicles above 1500cc and above 5 years since the date of manufacture starting 1st of July 2019.
