At least 300,000 learners whose details are yet to be captured on the National Education Management Information System (NEMIS) will miss out on government funding.
Education principal secretary Dr. Belio Kipsang says 500 schools are yet to submit details of the students. The government has released sh.30bn shillings to cater for the 2.6 million learners already registered on the online data capture and retrieval system.
Unlike in the past where the government relied on information provided by school principals, this year the ministry maintains that payments will be only through NEMIS.
