The education of over 600 bright but needy students from impoverished families in Kamenu Ward, in Thika constituency will now be almost guaranteed after they became beneficiaries of bursary funds awarded to them by Thika MP Raphael Chege. Speaking to parents while issuing the bursaries, Chege pointed out that approximately 1.9 million shillings has been set aside to benefit students from poor families in form of bursaries
