Garissa senator Yussuf Haji wants the constitution changed to allow MP appointment to the Cabinet

Garissa senator Mohamed Yusuf Haji wants the constitution changed to allow members of parliament to be appointed to the cabinet.  The 2010 constitution states that a cabinet secretary shall not be a member of parliament.  According to haji, Kenyans have lost touch with majority of the cabinet secretaries who are technocrats.  Haji's sentiments come at a time when talk on changing sections of the constitution through a referendum has gained currency
