Parliament to hold special sittings to approve or reject nomination of Twalib Mbarak new CEO of EACC

17th December, 2018

Parliament will tomorrow hold special sittings to approve or reject the nomination of former military intelligence officer Twalib Mbarak as new CEO of the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission. If given the nod, Mbarak will replace outgoing boss halakhe waqo whose six?year tenure expired earlier this year. KTN news understands that there is little hindrance to Mbarak’s nomination, as the house only requires a quorum of 50 members of parliament to proceed with the crucial vote.
