Senators will next month investigate five international companies contracted by the government to supply multi?billion shillings medical equipment to county hospitals. According to a Senate committee probing the issue, there could have been shady documents provided by the ministry of health in a bid to justify the contracts. The committee is expressing fears that Afya house could have lost an extra 21 billion shillings in the leasing of medical equipment.
