You being a deputy president does not mean you are automatically the next president – Eugene Wamalwa

15th December, 2018

Devolution and Planning CS Eugene Wamalwa has slammed Deputy President William Ruto's 2022 bid for presidency, said he will not ascend to presidency automatically.

Wamalwa, said it was difficult for the deputy president to immediately succeed Uhuru when his tenure ends in 2022.

Speaking during the launch of Western Jurists Sacco, Wamalwa said Luhya leaders had an equal chance of producing Kenya's next president.

The meeting also brought different western political actors together in a bid to unify the Mulembe nation.
