Kenya faced stiff competition from neighbours Uganda in the first day of the Fim central Africa motocross challenge with the opponents dominating the top position in most race categories. Uganda's Mbagazi Ashraf scooped the first position in the first heat of the pewee category as Kenya’s Gisa Benzinge came in second. In the mx85 class, African champion Stav Orland from Uganda took first place ahead of Kenya’s favourite Tai Wahome. The second round of the challenge has seen an increase in the number of Kenyan riders with the national team looking forward to making an improvement in its performance this time round.
