5 individuals go to court to sue the National Police Service Commission over Police salaries

7th December, 2018

In August this year, KTN news crime and investigations unit revealed a secret among the country’s security chiefs.

A silent decision was made in 2016 to stop graduate police officers from updating their academic status by submitting their degree certificates for salary review; the motive for that decision has never been known.

Now, tonight, on behalf of the over 1000 police officers, 5 individuals have gone to court suing the national police service commission; inspector general of police Joseph Boinnet and the attorney general Kihara Kariuki for alleged contravention of rights and fundamental freedoms.
