Should there be cause for panic? Supply of Tilapia fish threatened due to fast spreading virus

The supply of fish could go down.This is due to the discovery of a fast?spreading tilapia lake virus, a disease that affects the liver of the fish, and one that can greatly reduce fish population. The food and agriculture organization, FAO, is holding a ten day training workshop in Kisumu for fisheries officials and experts from six African countries, in a bid to build capacity to tackle the problem.
