Members of the National Assembly have blocked the director of criminal investigations and the Ethics and Anti?Corruption Commission from investigating lawmakers linked to bribery claims during the debate of the sugar report. In a move meant to sanitize the image of parliament, the MPS amended the powers and privileges committee report that had invited the DCI and the DPP to investigate all the 349 members over bribery allegations.
